GREETINGS! April 2016 Newsletter
As of this writing, ASFA is still trying to build and polish the new website. The site is up and running but far from complete. We would love to have a tech/website savvy individual help make it a lot better and useful. Call Martin L. Meigs at 250-5232 if you'd like to help.
New web address is www.AlaskaSFA.com. The old web addresses will redirect to this url. The new website will always be "under construction" so you will want to review it from time to time. Our intention is to eventually provide you with all the information you'll need to know about fishing in Alaska in the form of directed links as well as new and previously unpublished information.
We are working to make this site a "one stop shop." You can help! IF YOU FIND SOMETHING THAT BELONGS IN THE WEBSITE, LET US KNOW! If you cannot reach us through this website for some reason, please use email@example.com as an alternate email address. Please put ASFA in subject line.
Please contribute what you can by posting in the appropriate areas. Sharing is a big part of the joy of fishing! THIS IS YOUR WEBSITE! HELP US MAKE IT A GREAT FISHING HOLE!
We are currently seeking an individual to serve as Secretary/Treasurer as a Board Member. Familiarity with standard accounting procedures is necessary and familiarity with non-profit organizations would be helpful. Time commitments should not be too great. Systems and job description are set up for the most part.
We are also seeking qualified individuals to intern for other leadership positions in this Organization. Qualifications include a deep dedication to fishing, a significant familiarity with the history of the sport fishery in Alaska, a degree in a natural science and/or business and some leadership experience commensurate with those positions. Please inquire for additional details.
New volunteers and staff include Steve Heckle, a superbly qualified individual in charge of the new website, Mike Selden, an individual wanting to head the environmental rehab efforts ASFA will be undertaking in the near future.
ALSO Jay Baumer from the ADF&G is looking for some volunteers to help him with some youth education projects. Please contact Jay directly if you want to participate in these fun and personally rewarding activities. http://ro.penisboosters.com Jay Baumer, SF – Aquatic Education, ADF&G http://si.penisboosters.com/ si.penisboosters.com 2
